Environment Program hosts strategy meeting to improve performance and results

BRASÍLIA, September 30th, 2009 - On September 28th, the USAID/Brazil Environment Program hosted a meeting with its core partners and Brazilian governmental institutions to discuss a new Results Framework for the period FY 2010-2014, as part of the process of renewing the USAID Strategy in Brazil. This initiative is also part of USAID/Brazil Environment Program efforts to improve the quality of program performance and results.
Consultants Christopher Diewald and Robert Schneider moderated the meeting and will provide minutes of the meeting to support the Environment Program to design the new strategy. The final strategy will be concluded by the Environment Team, with support from USAID specialist Robert Maushammer.
The current USAID Environment Program is comprised of six Cooperative Agreements, plus one Inter-Agency Agreement, involving 22 partner institutions. Additional partners are expected to be incorporated in coming years for implementation of the new strategy.
