BRASÍLIA October 27, 2009 - Dr. Nina Fedoroff, Science and Technology Advisor to the Secretary of State and the Acting USAID Administrator visited the US Embassy in Brasilia, on October 27, 2009, where she participated in a country team meeting hosted by USAID/Brazil in the Xingu conference room..
Later, Dr. Fedoroff and the USAID Mission Director Jeffery Bell met Minister Marco Farani, head of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) to discuss trilateral cooperation in health and food security. Also Dr. Nina Fedoroff met with Embrapa, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Agency, on applications of biotechnology in food production.
